Ways to Save Money

  1. Check your cell phone bill and see if you need the plan you have.  Check for the $5 fees here and there and eliminate what you can.
  2. Check your cable bill.  Do you watch any of those channels that you pay an extra $29.95 a month for?  Get rid of them and you’ll save over $350 a year.
  3. Buy coffee beans.  If you drink coffee and buy one at a coffee shop every day, you could save from $30 – $150 a month by buying coffee beans, grinding them, and making your coffee at home.
  4. Stop eating out.  Buy some groceries and make your own food at home.
  5. Stop drinking alcohol.  It’s expensive, unproductive, and could lead to spending more money.
  6. Stop smoking.  You will save $150 – $300 a month in cash and much more over your lifetime in medical bills.
  7. Stop using credit cards unless you’re paying off the balance each month.
  8. Keep track of your spending.  There are plenty of free sites to track your money.

I’ll be adding more suggestions later; in the meantime, leave your suggestions in the forum.
