RCN’s remote control has 59 buttons.  Comcast’s has 53.  They are designed to be “Universal” remote controls, but frankly are pretty antiquated as far as Universal Remotes go.  So, there are a lot of useless buttons on the remote control.  Well, useless to me anyway.  Why do I even have cable?  AT&T U-verse keeps hounding me to get $300 back if I switch services and go with them (the do have Comedy Central in HD. . . ) but if I don’t give them any money to begin with, I won’t have to get $300 back.  Right?  And just what does the AT&T U-verse remote look like?  If I go with AT&T, do I keep my Comcast phone and Internet connectivity or do I bundle with AT&T?  What’s going to be cheapest?  If AT&T is cheaper, is their Internet connectivity any better?  Any worse?

What if I just get rid of cable all together and just keep a phone line and Internet connectivity?
