America Laid Off (ALO) is a website dedicated to equipping those who have been laid off from their jobs with knowledge, tools, and a little humor.  ALO follows the (un)employment trends in America and keeps people informed of the employment climate in America.  ALO is the brain child of Matthew Joseff and his silent partner, Steve.

Matthew Joseff is a writer and filmmaker currently residing in Connecticut with his girlfriend and dog.  After fifteen years in technology, he started “I Got Laid!(off)”, a web series documenting an employee’s days after losing a job.  This led to collaborating with his colleague launching “America got laid!(off)” (www.americalaidoff.com), a blog following (un)employment trends and a forum where people could network, exchange ideas, and socialize.  You can contact him here.
